Free Range: Storytime w/ Sally Bates

April 18 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

April 18 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Join us for a special children’s program featuring author Sally Bates. The event begins with a live reading in the Swanson Gallery, where children will enjoy one of Sally’s stories. Books will be available for purchase, and attendees will have the opportunity to have their copies personally signed.

Sally Bates is the driving force behind the Arizona Cowboy Connection, author of numerous books, and a contributor and co-editor of Facing West. She has been recognized by prestigious organizations for her contributions to Western literature and history.

Following the reading, children will take part in a hands-on art activity inspired by Talavera design. Participants will create their own decorative patterns and paint them onto small pots using acrylic paints in our downstairs classroom.

✨ A fun and engaging experience that blends storytelling, creativity, and Western heritage—perfect for young readers and budding artists!
