Songs of the Cowboy
A musical Journey with Dan McCorison & Alan Rockman

August 29th Ι 5:30 P.M.

Dan McCorison cut his teeth in the thriving folk music scene of his hometown, Denver, Colorado. Shortly after college, Dan and a couple of his friends formed the Boulder based band, Dusty Drapes and the Dusters. Known for sure-fire country music and Western swing, The Dusters headlined packed shows and opened for the likes of Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Flatt and Scruggs and Linda Ronstadt. Once Dan launched out solo, he was invited to Los Angeles by Chris Hillman of the Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers. Chris produced Dan’s first album featuring members of Emmylou Harris’ Hot Band and the Eagles. Dan’s trail eventually led to Nashville where he continued to write, record and perform with some of the finest writers and musicians in country music. In addition to shows around the USA, he has entertained audiences in Japan, Australia and Europe. The International Western Music Association recently awarded Dan 2021 Songwriter of the Year plus Traditional Western Album of the Year for his album, “Me and Les”. His previous album, “Montana Moon” won 2017 Academy of Western Artists Album of the Year. Dan is currently living in Arizona with his wife June, and their trusty dog, Daisy.
