Junior Wrangler Workshop: All About Hawaii

August 1 @ 1:00 pm

Learn about the history of Hawaii and make a lei! This hands-on activity encourages cultural appreciation, creativity, and historical discovery while providing a fun and memorable experience for young learners. Join us as we say “Aloha” and celebrate the spirit, beauty, and traditions of Hawaii! One of Hawaii’s most cherished customs is the giving of a lei. More than just a colorful necklace, a lei is a symbol of friendship, love, respect, celebration, and welcome. Children will learn about the different types of leis made from flowers, leaves, shells, feathers, and other natural materials, as well as the occasions on which they are traditionally exchanged.
