SUMMARY:Brenda Cusick - Kate T. Cory
DESCRIPTION:Step into the remarkable world of Kate T. Cory as she reflects on her extraordinary life at age 95\, preparing to leave her home for the Prescott Pioneer Home. Best known for her years living among the Hopi as a young artist\, Cory’s story stretches far beyond the mesas—encompassing five decades of adventure\, creativity\, and influence in Prescott. From a near-fatal fall at the Grand Canyon to a harrowing moment during the filling of Hoover Dam\, her vivid recollections bring history to life with humor\, courage\, and insight. \nA gifted painter\, photographer\, and writer\, Cory helped shape the cultural legacy of Prescott alongside notable figures like Grace M. Sparkes and Sharlot Hall. Her work earned recognition from the U.S. Government\, the Arizona State Senate\, and prominent enterprises including the Santa Fe Railroad. \nThis engaging presentation at the Phippen Museum promises an unforgettable evening of captivating storytelling and rich Arizona art history—an inspiring tribute to a life fully lived. \n  \nBrenda Cusick studies all facets of Kate T. Cory life in order to personify Cory on stage.
