Tom Ryan III was born in Abilene, Texas, in 1977 and studied classical realism and plein air painting under Joe Pacquet and Tom Ryan , Sr. He has won Best of Show, Best Oil Painting, The People's Choice and Third Place for Drawing awards at the Phippen Museum Annual Memorial Day Art Show & Sale.
