Connie MorseConnie L. Morse is a dedicated plein air painter and her bold brush strokes and brilliant use of color make her style distinctive and appealing. Her awards include: "Arts For the Parks" competition 1995 & 1996. In 2004 she was juried into the top 100 for the miniature show and contest. Guest Artist: Plein Air Painters of America in 2001 and 2003 on Catalina Island. Guest Artist: "Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters" 2003. Her plein air oil painting: "Beaver Meadows" won the Collectors Choice Award as well as top eighteen and top three awards. Juror: Ed Trumble, Leanin' Tree Museum of Western Art. Connie recently won the "Best Painting" and "Best of Show" awards for her painting entitled "First Snow" at the Visions of America show at the El Presidio Gallery in Tucson, Arizona. Jurors: Richard Iams and Greg Wallace. Connie states: "I feel that my art communicates my love and passion for nature and the beauty that has been my pleasure to paint. For many years nature has been my instructor and the outdoors my studio." |
