Raised in Colorado, Steve Devenyns had always enjoyed wildlife, the West and open spaces. His lifestyle takes him to the places that he paints. His work has graced the covers of many prestigious art publications, including Art of the West, Southwest Art, Inform Art, US Art and the Western Horseman Magazine. Steve is a three time Gold Medal winner at the George Phippen Memorial Art Show and has been named Artist of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep. His painting "Spirit of Wyoming" received the 2006 People's Choice Award at the Buffalo Bill Art Show in Cody Wyoming at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.
