Bonnie Conrad

Conrad's oil painting is distinct in its passion for color, its scintillating light and its somewhat impressionistic approach. It whispers the influence of her favorites, both past and present such as Sorolla, Sargent, Degas, John Asaro, James Reynolds, Clyde Aspevig, Bill Anton, Mian Situ, Dan Mieduch and Carolyn Anderson.

Conrad decided to throw her hat in the ring of the professional world in 1987. She was greeted with a "Best of Show" award at the first show she entered as a "Professional" artist at the Cody Country National Invitational! Since that time, she has been honored with many additional awards for excellence in fine art. Some of the most recent being "Honorable Mention APA National 2007", "Best of Show" Western Spirit, Cheyenne, Wyoming 2003, and "Best of Show" American Plains Artists, 2004 and Purchase Award, St. George Arts Museum 2005. Many of her works are found in private collections and museums across the United States and Canada. She is a "Signature Member" of Oil Painters of America (OPA), American Women Artists (AWA) and American Plains Artists (APA) and has "Emeritus" standing with American Academy of Women Artists.
